Tim Stearns is the author of this blog. During college the majority of his studies were in Missiology. He graduated from Allegheny Wesleyan College in 1994 with a Bachelor in Religious Education. He served as a pastor for six years to a congregation in Michigan. Since then he has also served as pastor to a Spanish language congregation in Montana. He has traveled to assist with missions work in the countries of Paraguay and Colombia.
People like John Wesley, Andrew Murray, E. M. Bounds, Charles Finney, R. A. Torrey and others have served as inspiration to Tim to pursue God with all his being. Tim is passionate to see each and every Christian live up to their kingdom potential and believes that to reach that potential one must live in God’s shadow. The outgrowth of this passion is this blog, Living in God’s Shadow, which is dedicated to encouraging and challenging Christians to relentlessly pursue God.
The quote that serves as a constant challenge to Tim is by William Carey, missionary to India, “Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God.” Tim firmly believes that this can only be achieved by living in God’s shadow, and invites you to join him in this journey as he looks at various aspects of what it means to live in God’s shadow.
